Looking back at 2017

I know we are new to the blog scene but I thought I would take a minute to recap the last year and how we started.

winter farm

It all started with a dream and a vision both my Mother and I had about a year ago and when we both spoke to each other about it we knew this is what we wanted to do. Our families moved to a very small little community in Yarrow B.C with lot’s of farming and growing opportunities and barns to go with it! Our families have a very strong growing and floral background and with creativity pouring out of our veins! We started seeding and planting in the spring of 2017 not knowing how things would turn out. We started off at a local farmers market and expanded to creating bouquets and arrangements for weddings and events. We have learned so much and looking forward to 2018 and all the plans we have to continue the growth of the bouquet farm.

winter bridal shower

When winter comes to play in the season to host a shower it creates an easy theme. We kept things simple and fresh with the winter greenery and simple buffalo check to keep things festive.

The deserts have a rustic feel and were kept with the flavours of the season. (gingerbread, chocolate cake, black forest cake and simple vanilla. Plus a dutch classic, speculaas)

The main food was done chacuterie style in the heart of the Kitchen, where the woman gathered with lot’s of wine and good chats.
